President Bill Clinton to Kick off Essex Region Conservation Foundation Enviro-Expo in Windsor
Former President to Speak at Event Geared Toward Protecting the Environment

WINDSOR, Canada – President Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, will be the opening speaker at the Enviro-Expo 2010. The event is organized by the Essex Region Conservation Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising the funds to protect and improve our local environment, and will be held between April 15th and 18th in Windsor, Ontario.

“President Clinton is a powerful voice for progress as he shares his unique insights and observations with audiences around the world,” says John Omstead, President of the Essex Region Conservation Foundation. “Some of the key initiatives of President Clinton’s Foundation include combating climate change, helping all kids and their families lead healthy and active lifestyles, and transforming ideas into action. His priorities are a natural fit with those of the Conservation Foundation.”

This event will take place at the Colosseum at CaesarsWindsor on Thursday, April 15, 2009 at 7:00pm. Following his presentation, President Clinton will participate in a Question and Answer period. Held during Earth Month, it is anticipated that more than 350 vendors will be in attendance helping more than 20,000 expected visitors to green their lives.

Since 1977, the Essex Region Conservation Foundation has been working with the Essex Region Conservation Authority to raise the funds to protect and improve our local environment and water quality in the Great Lakes. Protecting existing natural areas, planting trees and building trails are just some of the successes that the Foundation has realized over the past three decades.
