Underage College Student: I Attended Cox and Bouchard Parties
CMU Blogger Identifies Candidates Who May Have Served Booze to Minors
LANSING – CMU Republican and blogger Vanessa Oblinger says she attended parties held by Attorney General Mike Cox and Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard while attending the GOP Leadership Conference on Mackinac Island.
In a letter written by Oblinger to the Snyder campaign and obtained by Michigan Messenger, she identifies Cox and Bouchard as candidates who may have provided alcohol to minors.
(T)he only gubernatorial parties I attended were ones hosted by Attorney General Mike Cox and Sheriff Mike Bouchard. While I am not willing to discuss this with the media, I do think it is important that the record is set straight on this matter.
“We now know who should be investigated for serving alcohol to minors,” Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark brewer said. “Mike Cox and Mike Bouchard need to be thoroughly questioned about their role in this activity. Oblinger’s letter still leaves a lot of unanswered questions. What about parties sponsored by other candidates for Attorney General and Secretary of State?”
The Liquor Control Commission is currently investigating.
